This scene shows the iconic Tyne Bridge that connects the two cities of Newcastle and Gateshead. The Tyne Bridge was officially opened by King George V on 10 October 1928. Depicted in the foreground are All Saints’ Church and various buildings on the Newcastle Quayside. All Saints’ Church is situated on Lower Pilgrim street and is said to be the seventh tallest building in the city.
